   PARSLEY

More than just a garnish.

Kloss notes that it’s good for kidney stones.

The Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine points out that parsley helps flush out toxins through the kidneys.

Because it has such a wide variety of assimilable minerals, it is wonderfully nourishing as well. You probably cannot take enough parsley to make any difference by simply eating it. However, we consider it a useful remedy used as follows: buy a bunch of fresh parsley, wash and chop it. Boil three quarts of water and pour it over the parsley. Strain and sweeten if desired. Drink freely throughout the day to help support your kidneys. Be sure to use the parsley plant and not the seeds, which can be overstimulating to the kidneys.
